shop 'til you drop

I know I've said this before, but I think that handmade gifts are best. These gifts take your time making them more thoughful.
One of my close friends is getting married this summer and I attended her bridal shower this past weekend. As I was thinking about what to give her, I came across a pattern for a crocheted grocery tote bag. It is made of Sugar and Cream cotton yarn. The bottom is solid (18 rows of half double crochet) and the main sides of the tote are a netting (chain 3 and single crochet in the middle of the next chain 3 space). I'm not sure what its weight capacity is, but I hope it will be of some use. I planned on giving her two tote bags, but only finished one in time for the shower. (I'm almost done with the second.)

Happy Spring! Happy crafting!

You should fill the second bag with Newlywed goodies and give it to her at her wedding. :) btw the bag is cute!

Great idea Juliet! I love the bag. Can I commission one with a shoulder strap? Those colors are great too!
