If you are one of the fortunate buyers of the Genesee Center for the Arts and Education 2012 calendar, I hope you are enjoying Henrietta the Chicken- Miss April 2012. April is a good month also because it's my birthday month... and today being my birthday!(In case you were wondering, there are no set plans for the day except going to Joann's to spend my gift card. Sounds like a good day already!)
Another exciting thing that has happened is, I have a new niece! We were able to go down and see the happy family a couple weeks ago. Oh man, I love being an aunt!My mother-in-law had asked me if I could make a sign for the occasion. It is hanging proudly on their apartment door.
Since this particular set of wood type didn't have an exclamation point, I decided to sew on some hearts and add a paper behind to make a border.

One last thing to share is that we're moving! This Saturday we're heading down to the Southern Tier. My husband has an opportunity to work on an organic dairy farm.
We're really excited, but to be honest, it hasn't hit me yet. Yesterday, I went to the studio to put all my type away and printed some last minute things.
I know God has something planned and I can't wait to see where it leads <3
