Last month, my Mom posted a recipe for "Lemon Loaf." I love any dessert with lemon: Lemon meringue pie, lemon bars, lemon gelato... and so this looked amazing! My sister, who happens to be enrolled in my Bread of the Month Club, said that she would like this for her next loaf.

I made the Lemon Loaf yesterday and it turned out beautifully. After it cooled, I glazed it and waited for the glaze to set before I mailed it to my sister. My husband walked in the kitchen and said, "Oh wow! That looks great! ...Did you happen to make us a little loaf?" After disappointing him with a "no," I made a loaf for us to enjoy. I couldn't help myself; I had all the ingredients for it and he didn't mind.
If you like lemony baked goods, this recipe is for you. To achieve the rich lemon flavor, you use lemon zest and lemon extract. (Thankfully, my mother-in-law had some.) You can find the recipe here:
