Crochet- Along: Clues #6 & #7

Last night I finally finished my last two clues- which is a good thing since clue # 8 will be revealed some time today. Clues 6 and 7 were posted two weeks ago and because this involved a new technique, we were given two weeks to complete them.

This mystery afghan has come together, for better or for worse. I have to say, this is the most intricate and weird project I've ever done.

The new technique for joining is called a twisted braid. It took me a few times to get the hang of it. For each square you join, a little 8 yard ball of yarn is needed because you pull all the yarn through each little loop to form the twisted braid.

The afghan isn't real big. The next three clues will be the border, so maybe it will make the afghan a lot bigger? We'll see.
I still need to weave in my ends, but I can work on the border and have a ends weaving party when I'm done. <3
